Arsenal ready to accept £22m offer
Arsenal are ready to accept an offer of £22 million for Robin van Persie from Manchester United, The Sun claim.
The Netherlands international has made his desire to move to another club clear, and with only a year left on his current deal Arsene Wenger is considering selling the maestro.
Despite interest from Juventus and Manchester City, the Red Devils have emerged as the main suitor, with Sir Alex Ferguson confessing that he wants the striker at Old Trafford.
Arsenal initially were unwilling to negotiate with United, but Wenger is said to be ready to give up on the PFA Player of the Year and accept United’s latest offer of £22 million.
Ferguson is thought to be keen to add Van Persie to his squad before the start of the Premier League campaign this weekend.
