Lawrie apologizes for Spain media snub
Paul Lawrie has apologised for the way he stormed off immediately after dropping his Volvo Globe Match Play semi-final in Spain.
The former Open champion was beaten on the 2nd extra hole by eventual tournament winner Nicolas Colsaerts, possessing been 4 up immediately after 4 holes. “I would like to apologise to all the media and television for not speaking to them immediately after my match,” Lawrie informed his official site. “I was quite angry and frustrated, but I must have gone to the locker room for 5 minutes to calm down and then come back out to speak.
“My actions were not like me, but that’s the angriest I’ve ever been coming off a course. But that is no excuse, so I’m sorry.”
